Today is the first day of the online focus group!
Not a lot happening on the Boards in the morning – only 2 people responded to all of the posts. A handful more (~3) responded to the first post on the first session, but that is all. It looks like people don’t understand that we want them to post on each thread. It seems they are choosing one thread per session and posting on that.
We sent a message to inform the participants that they can access the discussion via their smart phones. Amazingly, most people didn’t know as they called to confirm if it was true. We made phone calls to everyone this afternoon and a text reminder around 8pm, and things picked up considerably. People were posting late into the night.
Some of the queries the Research Coordinator received were:
- Failing to log in due to technological restraints like a poor connection, power cuts in the area, etc.
- Some had a busy Monday, but after we sent a reminder message, they responded that they will log in before going to bed.
- Others were not sure where to log in because someone asked; “I logged in to FB and there were no questions, I logged in to email there was nothing”
- One was sick and unable to participate at the moment.
- Another logged in but wasn’t sure where to post, as he asked, “where do I post….?”
