We spent most of today following up with participants. We now have 7 participants randomized into the program (5 treatment, 2 control). Of these 7, only 1 is pending starting the program because this person still needs to agree to the ITG Peer Code of Conduct.
Of the 6 participants who are still being processed, 3 have consented but have not finished the baseline survey. Two have neither consented nor started the survey (we didn’t appear to have their correct contact info and have been following up with them to correct it). The 6th person is one of the first people we enrolled who only needs to click agree on the consent form, but this person hasn’t picked up his calls today.
We called a couple of prospects today but they didn’t answer. We’re dwindling on suitable prospects again, so we are hoping that the ads will bring in more prospects by Friday.
Our programmer investigated the issue where the first control participant reached the end of the program within a day. Two treatment participants also progressed through a few days’ worth of messages in a matter of hours. Our programmer has resolved the issue of the program sending too many messages too fast, and reset the participants’ progress to the beginning of the program so that they can progress through the program normally. Our project coordinator reached out to the affected participants to explain the issue. All were willing to remain in the program.
